It began as a ripple. Now there is no beginning, and no end.
Since the times of Kings and Caesars, when Gaia was caked in blood, prophets stepped out of the shadows. They spoke of the planet's waning vitality, the vicious nature of Man, the state of the Great Tree. Those white-eyed soothsayers were the magerath from legend, and Gates their ancestors built long ago kept the creatures of human myth in the Otherworld, away from humanity. When the Gates could hold them no longer, Gaia found itself filled with dragons among the East and Western skies, their forests filled with fae, daemons in their very souls.
It's 2385. Gaia is barren, and humanity has long-since abandoned their Mother. The Gates have long-since failed to hold back Otherworlders, and the Great Tree has turned to ash, exposing the worlds to the mysterious force known as Corruption. To newer generations, Gaia is a myth. The crownless Mageran Empire faces conflict in its Houses and daemons at their doorsteps, which silently harvest those with Gifts to regain their lost power. Save yourselves before the chains of uneasy truces are severed. The gods will not hear you.

REISHA
One of the first places to be colonized after Gaia's Fall. As a result, crime is high and tech is aged. It is made up of huge, Earth-like dome colonies. The only means of leaving are through a Gate or shuttle.

GAIA
After the Great Migration, the Republic spread untruths that Earth did not exist. To many younger individuals, Earth is a myth. Earthquakes ravage fault lines, exposing leylines, and some areas are entirely unlivable. Mythological beasts, souls of the dead, and other creatures pace and roam outside of settlements.
Cities such as Berlin, Dublin, and New Delhi are megalopolises around well-fortified centers, retainers of culture and bustling settlements for safety and comfort. The only means of leaving Gaia are remnants of WWIII ships or ancient Gates.

MARS
Known for its technology and high-class debauchery, a bulk of the universe's population (mostly human) settled due to opportunity and sheer convenience. You can find anything on Mars, and anything can find you. The mass of settlements, known as Capital, is divided into eight Sectors, marked with towers and little more than wide-gated guard-posts.
There are millions of people, thousands of ads, and riots are common. Sector 1 and 2 are slums and trash receptacles, 3 and 4 is middle class living. Anything beyond is upper class, and all the pleasures and luxuries that come with it. Sector 8 is the seat of the Republic and where meetings are hosted, as well as the operating grounds for classified doings, and the few citizens that do live there are employees.

GANYMEDE
Bread-basket of the worlds, and one of the few worlds in which terraforming succeeded, Ganymede is subject to Republic eyes and overseers. Food is grown here, packaged, and sent off and traded. Modern technology available on the world has enabled farms to be run completely by artificial intelligence.
Most of the environment is rural, agricultural, with lush fields and deciduous forests. Ganymede homes are generally in rural, peaceful areas, modular and expansive, varying in style and appearance to the builder's (or buyer's) taste.

GENN-PAR
Recently claimed by the Republic, Genn-Par is a vast, desert planet with scraggly vegetation and evidence of a once-lush landscape. Its far-flung government reach has unfortunately made it a haven for criminals, bounty heads, and other scum.
Despite the barren landscape, there is a very strong presence of leylines and energy on the planet. To the psionically-inclined or sensitive, the amount of energy is sickeningly intense, and can cause headaches and nausea, or flash-backs from lives that are not their own.

THIRASTE BELT
An asteroid belt commonly used as cover for outlaws or smuggler. No laws are upheld here, making it a common place for space-bound duels beneath cover of trash and debris from long-ago decimated and hijacked shuttles.

XEL KYAN
Home to the magerath, full of lore and legends and at war within itself. Its range of continents is similar to that of Gaia, and its winters are long and harsh, with only a glimpse of summer to look forward to. An emperor or empress, of which there is presently none, are honored here, so the ruling Thanes act as watchmen.
Known in stories for its tales of gods and goddesses, heroes and villains and extraordinary creatures, Xel Kyan quickly became the mythical dream of every human child.

GENEVA
A small, lush planet said to be given all the energy that the Weavers could provide. It's full of life and technologically-advanced, an ideal vacation spot without an overbearing Republic influence.
The cities are crowded with museums, have many excellent cultural events, and even more good restaurants from those eager to rake in the tourism overflow. Every structure is well built and well designed for aesthetic pleasure as well as practical use. Major cities look much like European towns on Gaia once did.
The leyline presence is very strong. To those with Gifts, or the sensitive, the amount of energy is sickeningly intense, and can cause headaches, nausea, and vomiting, or flash-backs from lives that are not their own.

AERIANA
The vai'resh have made their homes in the ocean that covers the world, and their underwater cities are hidden among layers of reefs, their nurseries kept safe by natural formations.
While it is believed to lack land-masses, Aeriana has many atolls, beaches, and islands covered in trees and plant life. Dragons make their homes on these landforms, so it is rare that vai'resh surface unless the giants are asleep.

AZORES
An ice-covered world braced with near-constant snowstorms and hail. Some have decided to settle here, for better or worse, be it the perfect opportunity to get away from everyone and everything else, adventure or change of pace, or perhaps a mis-step into a Gate.
Explorers are common, but many die of frostbite. Azores is a treasure trove of natural resources and scientific finds, including creatures that have been seen on other planets. Gates are said to be to blame.

DALDREI
A humid world loosely governed by the Mageran Empire, home of the czadians and ashadni and well known for its traveling caravans. It is covered by an array of landscapes. There is a small Nautilus presence here in the form of settlements, and they have been known to raid villages or capture czadian children.
Thick canopies obscure the sun. Ancient Gates are largely hidden by underbrush and vines, and megalopolis-cities like those on Gaia dot the world. Many carnivorous species and mythological creatures dwell in the murkier parts, waiting to prey upon those brave enough to enter them. Dragon-territory keeps anyone from wandering too far away from the main city, Hub.
